The Time Traveler’s 53rd letter to himself

I hope I’ll convince you to destroy the time-machine this time. If you don’t, you’ll travel deep into the past. Thanks to your scientific knowledge, you’ll survive. The people will worship you like a god. You’ll believe them. You’ll believe you built a good world. When you’re very old, you’ll time-travel to the future. There, an oligarchy will rule punitively in your name. To stop this evil, you’ll travel moments before your first journey.

Just before you die, you’ll leave a letter to yourself similar to this. You might remind us how much we love our daughter. Perhaps, how much we love freedom. I’ll remind you how much we love feeling proud of ourselves.
